2005 Little Truckee Summit Clean Up Day
Another Big Success
May 14th, 2005

30 some local home owners and snowmobilers came to the Little Truckee Summit parking area for the second year in a row for clean up day. The effort was not quite as big of an effort as the first year, but never the less, the 30 cubic yard dumpster was full of pine needles and other debris by noon.

Several people drove down the 07 road to Webber Lake and collected several bags of debris as well.

The lunch wagon arrive at 11 am and by noon the hamburgers, hot dogs and the rest of the fixings were ready for a hungry bunch of workers.

A special thanks to all who came.

Below are 14 photos of the clean up efforts. All photos were reduced in size and quality for faster internet download and for easy display on your computer screen.

Note that photos #1 -> 11 were taken by Wayne Fischer, President of North Tahoe Snow Travelers. Jeff Wiley, Tahoe National Forest, East Zone OHV Program Manager & Assistant Recreation Officer, took photos #12 -> #14. If you have any comments or corrections, please email them to the webmaster. Just remember one thing about snowmobiling:
You don't stop snowmobiling because you grow old
You grow old because you stop snowmobiling.
